'Study in Hong Kong' Week Highlights City's Higher Education Appeal

The inaugural "Study in Hong Kong" Week, held from February 23 to March 1, showcased the city's appeal as a prime destination for international students seeking higher education. A key feature was the prestigious Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2026 Conference, attracting over 3,500 global education professionals. This event explored educational trends and key issues.

During the conference, Hong Kong's Secretary for Education, Dr. Christine Choi, emphasized the city's global recognition with five universities in the world's top 100. She highlighted Hong Kong's unique position under the "one country, two systems" principle.

APAIE 2026 included workshops, forums, and exchange activities under the theme "Asia-Pacific Partnerships for the Global Good." Dr. Choi also engaged with international education officials to discuss collaborative opportunities.

The event underscored Hong Kong's strengths in connectivity, infrastructure, and cultural experiences, significantly boosting its educational sector's global presence.
