STRATEC SE Divests Loss-Making Subsidiary and Updates Financial Guidance
STRATEC SE, based in Birkenfeld, Germany, has finalized an agreement with a consortium of Indian investors to sell its subsidiary, Diatron MI. This includes assets related to hematology and clinical chemistry, although the molecular and immunodiagnostics sector remains within the STRATEC Group. The agreed fixed purchase price is €10.0 million, with additional earn-out payments. The transaction is anticipated to close by the end of 2026.
For 2026, the sold business is projected to yield sales of approximately €20.0 million and an adjusted EBIT of around minus €10.0 million. STRATEC will enact non-cash impairments worth €44.1 million in Q3, with a negative non-cash deconsolidation impact anticipated in Q4.
The divestment entails pro-forma sales of €223.5 million for 2025. STRATEC anticipates consistent or slightly improved sales for 2026 and forecasts an adjusted EBIT margin of 13.0-15.0%. The sale influences the company's medium-term goals, which will be updated in the 2026 Annual Report.
