Storm Exploration Embarks on New Phase for Gold Standard Project
Storm Exploration Inc. has initiated the first phase of its 2026 exploration program at the Gold Standard Project in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. The focus is on a 5-kilometre VMS target identified earlier through airborne surveys. A ground geophysical crew is collecting electromagnetic data to further define the anomaly.
The field program will also involve soil sampling and geological mapping, slated to start in two weeks. The project aims to determine if a gold, copper and zinc-rich VMS system is responsible for the conductivity anomaly. Further efforts will include a LiDAR survey to enhance geological mapping.
The second phase, starting in July, includes up to 3,000 meters of drilling to confirm the anomaly's association with a VMS system. This exploration marks the first application of modern techniques to evaluate the project's mineral potential.
