Stillwater Critical Minerals Expands Resource Estimate for Stillwater West Project
Stillwater Critical Minerals Corp. has announced a significant update to the mineral resource estimate for the Stillwater West project in Montana, USA. The updated estimate highlights an increase to 805.1 million tonnes of Inferred Mineral Resources, grading at 0.34% total nickel equivalent (NiTEq), containing 4.8 billion pounds of nickel, copper, and cobalt, along with 7.4 million ounces of platinum, palladium, gold, and rhodium.
For the first time, the resource estimate also includes 29.4 million tonnes of Indicated Mineral Resources grading 0.38% NiTEq. This comprises 190 million pounds of nickel, copper, and cobalt, and 0.359 million ounces of platinum, palladium, gold, and rhodium.
The 2026 estimate integrates new drilling data and geological insights, marking an essential milestone in the project's development, particularly for critical minerals like nickel, copper, cobalt, and rhodium, positioning Stillwater West as the largest known rhodium deposit in North America.
