Sterling Metals Expands Copper Mineralization at MEPS Zone
Sterling Metals Corp. has announced significant assay results from its ongoing drilling program at the MEPS Zone in the Soo Copper Project near Batchewana Bay, Ontario. The latest drilling, specifically from hole SC-26-27, revealed a continuous higher-grade mineralization with 44.1 meters grading 1.02% Copper Equivalent (CuEq), embedded within a broader 187-meter interval of copper mineralization grading 0.34% CuEq.
The drilling results have reinforced the continuity of high-grade copper mineralization within the MEPS system, which is characterized by nearsurface copper deposits within altered volcanic rocks. Sterling has drilled over 22,000 meters this year, surpassing their initial target. The program benefits from cost-efficiencies and absence of seasonal constraints, allowing drilling activities to continue without interruption.
These findings, along with the discovery of discrete zones of copper-rich mineralization and the extension of high-grade areas, continue to support the potential for further expansion of the MEPS Zone. The exploration efforts are facilitated by favorable geological conditions and strategic location near existing infrastructure.
