Star Copper Initiates Phase 2 Drilling at Star Project
Star Copper Corp has launched Phase 2 of its drilling operations at the Star Project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. Recently concluded Phase 1 allowed the company to enhance its understanding of the deposit's mineralization. The kickoff of the 4,000-meter Phase 2 program includes Hole S-056, which intersected 240 meters of potassically altered rock with bornite. This discovery expands the known mineralized corridor and fortifies the western trend of near-surface oxides and hypogene sulphides. Samples from Hole S-056 are under review.
Additionally, preparations at the Copper Creek target are advanced. This prospect includes chalcopyrite-mineralized outcrops. The main mineralized zone features a sub-vertical breccia with quartz-sulphide veining. Star Copper plans to advance the Copper Creek for drill-ready status within Phase 2, aiming to broaden the discovery potential alongside targeted step-outs at the Star Main site.
