Star Copper Develops 3D Geological Model for 2026 Drilling
Star Copper Corp. has advanced its integrated 3D geological modeling at the Star Project in British Columbia, aiming to transform its 2026 drilling season. This development marks a shift from incremental exploration towards testing a potentially large copper system. The new 3D model, combined with upcoming deep-penetrating geophysical surveys, seeks to enhance drill targeting.
The model identifies a near-surface supergene enrichment zone, a transition oxide zone, and an extensive hypogene copper sulphide system over 700 meters deep. These findings integrate historical drilling data and 2025 drill results, presenting a significant target-rich environment for future drilling.
CEO Darryl Jones highlighted the model's ability to reveal mineralization extending below current drills. This, combined with planned 3D geophysical surveys, positions the 2026 drill program as potentially transformative for Star Copper's exploration strategy.
