Star Copper Corp. Advances Drilling Campaign in British Columbia
Star Copper Corp. has completed its first drill hole into the Star East target, signaling a successful start to its district-scale exploration campaign. The initial drilling at Star East achieved target depth with high-quality core sample recovery, confirming the integrity of the mineralization system.
Drilling has now begun at Copper Creek South, with two further holes planned for Copper Creek North. The campaign benefits from over $12 million in financing, supporting comprehensive geophysical surveys, including 3D Induced Polarization and Magnetotellurics later this month. These surveys are intended to refine the company's understanding of mineralization.
The Star East site's geological similarities to other areas suggest it could be a displaced part of the broader Star porphyry system. Concurrently, Copper Creek has been highlighted as a significant exploration focus, building on historic findings of widespread copper and gold mineralization.
CEO Darryl Jones emphasizes the importance of early drilling and surface exploration in progressing the company's strategic goals. Star Copper aims to enhance shareholder value by strengthening its geological insights, with hopes of establishing a maiden Mineral Resources Estimate in the future.
