Somec S.p.A. Reports Marginal Decline in Revenue but Strong Profitability Gains in FY 2025
Somec S.p.A., an engineering company, reported a slight 3.3% decline in consolidated turnover, totaling €370.02 million for 2025. Despite this, the company achieved significant improvements in profitability and cash flow. The decline was attributed to adverse exchange rates and a strategic shift towards higher-margin projects.
The "Horizons" division saw an 8.0% revenue decrease due to exchange rate effects and delays in glass façade projects. Conversely, the "Mestieri" and "Talenta" segments showed growth with revenue increases of 6.4% and 6.1%, respectively.
Operating profit rose by 12.7% to €33.32 million, with an improved EBITDA margin of 9.0%. The order book expanded to €771.0 million, showing growth potential. Despite challenging market conditions, Somec forecasts renewed revenue growth for 2026.
