Sokoman Minerals Concludes Initial Drilling at Fleur de Lys Gold Project
Sokoman Minerals Corp. has completed Phase 1 of its drilling program at the Fleur de Lys Project in Newfoundland, concluding with 23 drill holes. The project is wholly owned by Sokoman. Over 50% of these holes intersected mineralized structures. In particular, three holes targeted areas previously explored by Noranda in the 1980s and showed gold mineralization exceeding 200 parts per billion (ppb).
Chief Executive Timothy Froude expressed optimism regarding the findings. He highlighted that the final drill hole revealed five distinct gold-bearing veins, suggesting new exploration directions. Planned activities for 2025 include further exploration to locate the source of significant gold-bearing boulders and a Phase 2 drilling program.
Sample analysis was conducted by Eastern Analytical Ltd. to ensure rigorous quality control. The company is strategizing on data interpretation and future surveys to refine the understanding of mineralized structures.
