Société Générale is making progress in its share buyback program
Société Générale announced that it had completed 65% of its exceptional share buyback program of 1.5 billion euros by September 11, 2026. This program, launched on August 3, 2026, aims to cancel shares in accordance with regulatory obligations.
From September 7 to 11, the bank acquired nearly 2 million shares. The transactions were carried out on various markets, including XPAR, CEUX, TQEX, and AQEU, with an average purchase price of €73.86 per share. This program is in accordance with the 18th resolution of the Combined General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in May 2026.
With this acquisition, Société Générale continues to strengthen its financial and capital management strategy, while respecting the legal limit of cancelling up to 10% of its share capital over 24 months.
