Skyborn's Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm Approved for Development

Skyborn Renewables' Gennaker offshore wind farm has received construction and operational approval from the State Office for Agriculture and Environment in Stralsund. The project, situated in the German Baltic Sea, aims for a 2028 commission date.

With a capacity to generate 976.5 MW, the wind farm will produce green electricity equivalent to the consumption of around one million households annually. The permit includes 63 advanced 15 MW turbines.

Minister Dr. Backhaus emphasized the project's compliance with environmental standards and its significance as a flagship initiative. Skyborn CEO Patrick Lammers highlighted the project's role in securing a sustainable energy supply in Germany.
