Sintana Energy Reports Progress in Latin America

Sintana Energy Inc. provided updates on its activities in Latin America. In Uruguay, the initial exploration subperiod of the AREA OFF-1 block offshore has been suspended for one year, extending the deadline to August 23, 2027. This suspension was due to delays in environmental authorization for the 3D seismic acquisition, requested by Chevron Mexico Finance LLC, the operator of the block.

In Argentina, on July 15, 2026, a decree was published allowing an international tender for offshore hydrocarbon exploration in the North Argentine Basin. Challenger Energy Group, part of Sintana, had expressed interest in February 2025. Participation in the tender aligns with Argentine legal provisions and required processes.
