Sintana Energy fait état de progrès en Amérique latine
Sintana Energy Inc. a communiqué des informations sur ses activités en Amérique latine. En Uruguay, la phase initiale d'exploration du bloc offshore AREA OFF-1 a été suspendue d'un an, repoussant ainsi son échéance au 23 août 2027. Cette suspension est due à des retards dans l'obtention de l'autorisation environnementale pour l'acquisition sismique 3D, demandée par Chevron Mexico Finance LLC, l'opérateur du bloc.
En Argentine, le 15 juillet 2026, un décret a été publié autorisant un appel d'offres international pour l'exploration d'hydrocarbures en mer dans le bassin nord-argentin. Challenger Energy Group, filiale de Sintana, avait manifesté son intérêt en février 2025. Sa participation à cet appel d'offres est conforme à la législation argentine et aux procédures requises.
