Shandong's Boxing Port Initiates First International Trade to the Philippines
Boxing Port in Binzhou, located in Shandong Province, China, has successfully launched its first foreign trade shipment. The port dispatched 300 tonnes of finished coil steel to Manila, marking a significant advancement in its international container business. This development opens a direct logistics corridor from Boxing County to overseas markets, particularly the Philippines.
The cargo, organized into 11 containers, traveled via inland waterways to Weifang Port, then continued by sea. This move marks Boxing Port's entry into international shipping, offering a more efficient channel for local businesses to access global markets. The port aims to address logistics bottlenecks, assisting local industries in integrating with global supply chains.
Future plans include expanding the shipping network and enhancing collaborations with customs, shipping firms, and manufacturers. These initiatives aim to boost the global reach of northern Shandong's manufacturing sector.
