Sensorion Appoints Fred Chereau as CEO
Sensorion has announced the appointment of Fred Chereau as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026. Chereau brings over 30 years of experience across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, with expertise in gene therapy and rare disease drug development.
Prior to joining Sensorion, Chereau was Senior Vice President at Alexion - AstraZeneca Rare Disease and previously led LogicBio Therapeutics. His leadership roles have extended to companies like aTyr Pharma and Pervasis Therapeutics, which was acquired by Shire Pharmaceuticals.
Amit Munshi, who has been serving as Interim CEO, will continue as Chairman of the Board. Additionally, Chief Medical Officer Géraldine Honnet is stepping down after advancing Sensorion's clinical-stage gene therapy efforts.
Chereau aims to advance Sensorion's gene therapy platform focused on hearing loss, with plans to build partnerships and accelerate ongoing programs.
