Senken and Exomad Green Partner on Carbon Removal for Aviation

Senken and Exomad Green have entered a multi-year agreement to supply the aviation industry with 105,000 tonnes of permanent carbon dioxide removal credits over 2026-2028. This collaboration emphasizes a shift in aviation towards permanent carbon removal solutions as part of net-zero strategies. The credits will come from Exomad Green's industrial biochar operations in Bolivia.

The contract positions Senken as a significant player in the carbon removal space, totaling nearly $30 million of durable CO₂ removal commitments. This move also reflects the increasing confidence in large-scale carbon removal solutions.

Exomad Green converts forestry residues into stable biochar. This method provides long-term carbon storage with additional environmental and socio-economic benefits. Senken employs a rigorous vetting process, rejecting 95% of projects based on its Sustainability Integrity Index, ensuring high-integrity carbon credits.
