Seekr and Fossefall Partner to Boost AI Infrastructure in Europe
Seekr Technologies, a U.S.-based AI company, has announced a strategic partnership with Norwegian AI infrastructure company Fossefall. This multi-year commercial agreement aims to strengthen the AI value chain across Europe through low-cost, clean energy data centers.
Norway and Sweden will supply over 500 MW to meet the increasing European demand for AI services. Northern Norway's competitive industrial electricity prices, powered by renewable hydropower, enhance its suitability for AI operations. A report projects Europe's AI infrastructure market to grow significantly, reaching USD 16.86 billion by 2025.
Fossefall will build AI factories, integrating power generation, storage, and AI capacity. The agreement with Seekr includes reserving AI capacity for the first 36 months and rolling out a new AI cloud service. Both companies see this as a pivotal step in meeting the growing need for scalable AI solutions in Europe.
