Schneider Electric Launches €3.5 Billion Bond Issue
On August 26, 2025, Schneider Electric announced a successful issuance of a €3.5 billion Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN). The bond is split into four tranches, maturing between September 2027 and September 2037. The bond will finance the acquisition of the remaining 35% stake in Schneider Electric India Private Limited, achieving full ownership as planned in a July 30, 2025 statement.
The first tranche of €1 billion matures in September 2027 with a floating rate. The second, €750 million, will mature in September 2029 with a 2.625% fixed coupon. The third tranche of €750 million has a 3% fixed coupon, maturing in March 2032. Lastly, the fourth tranche of €1 billion is set to mature in September 2037 with a fixed coupon of 3.624%.
