Schaeffler Reports Steady Nine-Month Results Amid Challenges

Schaeffler AG reported solid financials for the first nine months of 2026. Revenue reached 17.5 billion euros, nearly aligning with the previous year at constant currency. The EBIT margin, before special items, expanded to 4.5% from last year's 4.2%. Despite weak performance in the E-Mobility division due to challenges in China, all other divisions contributed positively.

The E-Mobility division saw a 4.6% revenue increase to 3.87 billion euros, with notable growth in Europe and the Asia/Pacific regions. Conversely, the Powertrain & Chassis division experienced a revenue drop of 4.6%, driven by portfolio adjustments and a sluggish market for internal combustion engines.

Vehicle Lifetime Solutions and Bearings & Industrial Solutions divisions showed resilience, with revenue increases of 1.8% and 1.1% respectively, benefiting from favorable sales prices and improved plant performance.

Free cash flow was negative at 40 million euros, contrasting with last year's positive 47 million euros. Despite this, Schaeffler reaffirmed its full-year guidance, maintaining an optimistic outlook.
