Schaeffler Partners with VinDynamics for Humanoid Robotics Development

Schaeffler AG has entered a strategic partnership with Vietnamese humanoid robot manufacturer VinDynamics, a subsidiary of the Vingroup conglomerate. The agreement focuses on the development and supply of innovative planetary gearboxes, essential components in robot actuators. This marks Schaeffler’s inaugural collaboration with a humanoid robotics manufacturer in the Asia/Pacific region, enhancing its global network of partnerships in Europe, China, and the US.

A key component of the partnership is the joint collection of data for improving actuator design and enabling innovations like predictive maintenance. This collaboration aligns with Schaeffler's commitment to integrating its extensive actuator and drive technology expertise with VinDynamics' advanced robotic systems. Schaeffler's high-precision planetary gearboxes, known for their high torque density and efficiency, play a crucial role in this initiative.
