Sceye Achieves Milestone with 12-Day Stratospheric Flight

Sceye, an American company specializing in High-Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS), has successfully completed a 12-day stratospheric flight as part of their Endurance Program. The flight spanned over 6,400 miles from New Mexico to Brazil, marking a significant milestone in long-duration stratospheric operations. This achievement is a precursor to Sceye's pre-commercial telecom flights planned for this summer.

During the mission, the SE2 HAPS maintained its position over targeted areas for more than 88 hours, demonstrating the ability to deliver real-time environmental monitoring and enhance global telecommunications infrastructure. The flight also proved Sceye's advancements in power and pressure management systems, utilizing solar power for sustained operations.

CEO Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen emphasized the importance of this progress in providing persistent connectivity and improving disaster response capabilities. The program's success reduces risks and boosts readiness for imminent commercial ventures, including an upcoming test flight in Japan.
