SANY Foundation Partners with OCHA at HNPW 2026

In March 2026, during the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week in Geneva, SANY Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). This agreement marks SANY Foundation as the first Chinese corporate foundation to formalize such a partnership, focusing on disaster preparedness, emergency response, and early recovery.

Key figures in the agreement included Edem Wosornu from OCHA and Dr. Olivier Huang from SANY France. The collaboration integrates SANY's expertise and global network into international humanitarian efforts. Additionally, SANY participated in discussions on corporate philanthropy and private-sector engagement, showcasing their disaster response work in events such as the 2025 floods in Sumatra.

The agreement highlights the importance of cooperation between governments, businesses, and civil society to address global disasters. It supports SANY's broader initiative, the Global Machinery Relief Alliance, aimed at uniting resources for coordinated humanitarian responses.
