Ulrike Brouzi Appointed Chairwoman of Salzgitter AG Supervisory Board
At the recent Supervisory Board meeting on March 19, 2026, Ulrike Brouzi was elected as the new Chairwoman of Salzgitter AG, effective immediately. Brouzi, aged 60, has served on the Supervisory Board since May 2013 and is also a key figure at DZ BANK AG in Frankfurt, overseeing finance and compliance.
Gerald Heere, Lower Saxony's Finance Minister and board member, praised Brouzi's appointment, highlighting her deep knowledge of the company's operations and strategic direction. Her long-standing commitment to Salzgitter AG through her board involvement makes her a fitting choice to guide the company forward.
Following Heinz-Gerhard Wente's departure, Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Urban temporarily assumed the Deputy Chairman role. Minister Heere expressed gratitude to Urban for his dedication during the transition.
