Safran Initiates €500 Million Share Buyback for Cancellation

On May 7, 2025, Safran announced a new tranche of its share buyback program for cancellation, partnering with an investment services provider. This buyback is set to span from May 8, 2025, to July 18, 2025, with a cap of €500 million. This move aligns with the authorization from its 2024 General Meeting, subject to approval in the upcoming 2025 meeting.
This initiative is part of a broader €5 billion buyback plan running from 2025 to 2028, initially disclosed during Safran's Capital Markets Day in December 2024. Earlier this year, the company executed a €350 million tranche and reallocated treasury shares worth €50 million for cancellation.
