Safran Initiates Share Buyback for Cancellation
On September 18, 2026, Safran announced a new tranche in its share buyback program. The company has agreed to repurchase its own shares for up to 375 million euros. The buyback period is set from September 21 to November 27, 2026. This operation aligns with the authorization granted by the shareholders' General Meeting on May 21, 2026.
This buyback is part of a larger 5 billion euro initiative to cancel shares, running from 2025 to 2028. So far, 2.275 billion euros worth of shares have been repurchased. The program aims to optimize Safran's capital structure.
