Route1 Unveils ALPR Software and Reports Mixed Financial Results
Route1 Inc. has announced the launch of an advanced business intelligence platform targeting Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) data. The platform, compatible with Genetec AutoVu™ systems, aims to enhance operational effectiveness for municipalities and enterprises by transforming ALPR data into actionable insights. Initial releases will be rolled out from June to Fall 2025.
Route1 reported financial challenges for Q1 2025, highlighted by reduced sales of PocketVault P-3X and shipment delays. Total revenue fell to CAD $2,234,000 from CAD $3,931,000 in Q4 2024. Despite setbacks, Route1 anticipates improved financial performance in Q2 2025 due to new contracts and a shift toward recurring revenue models.
Route1 faced disappointment as the U.S. Department of State canceled an RFQ for data storage solutions. Nevertheless, Route1 remains hopeful for future opportunities and plans to monetize Employee Retention Credits to improve liquidity.
