Rockwell Automation and Cranswick Enhance Production with Robotics
On June 23, 2026, Rockwell Automation, a leader in industrial automation, announced a partnership with Cranswick Plc, a British gourmet food manufacturer, to automate its end-of-line packaging process using precision robotics. Cranswick produces millions of "pigs-in-blankets" annually, a process previously done manually. This manual method caused delays and inefficiencies.
Working with CWM Automation and autonox Robotics, Cranswick introduced a robotic pick-and-place system to streamline this stage. This technology, incorporating Rockwell's Allen-Bradley systems, offers impressive speed and accuracy, handling up to 240 packages per minute. Mark Lundgren from Cranswick noted the new system improves efficiency and labor productivity significantly.
