Ringmetall Acquires Makplast to Expand Liner Operations in Turkey

Ringmetall SE, a global supplier of industrial packaging, has announced the acquisition of Makplast Makine Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a liner manufacturer based in Istanbul, Turkey. This acquisition is part of a strategic expansion for Ringmetall, aiming to enhance its liner business and solidify its presence in the important Turkish market, which serves as a critical junction between Europe and Asia. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

Makplast specializes in producing liners for both aseptic and non-aseptic liquid packaging, mostly used in the food and beverage industry. With 45 employees, Makplast generates revenue in the mid-single-digit million range and boasts an above-average EBITDA margin. This initiative aligns with Ringmetall's long-term growth strategy focused on acquiring complementary businesses to bolster existing operations. The acquisition is financed through available credit lines.
