Nissan's Impact on Renault Group's Q2 2025 Earnings
Nissan's financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025/2026 had a negative impact on Renault Group's earnings. After adjusting for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Nissan's contribution to Renault's net income for the second quarter of 2025 stands at -€127 million. This follows Nissan's earnings release for the period from April 1 to June 30, 2025.
Renault Group's ownership in Nissan is currently 35.71%, following the sale of shares by Renault and a share buyback by Nissan. Of this, 17.05% of shares are directly held by Renault, while 18.66% are held in a French trust, with Renault as the beneficiary.
