Redcare Pharmacy Discusses CardLink Successor Plans
In response to recent media coverage, Redcare Pharmacy addressed upcoming changes in e-prescription redemption set for April 2026. The reports didn't present new details, complementing an August 2024 statement from gematik. The focus is on the PoPP (Proof of Patient Presence) solution, enhancing digital e-prescription use in Germany via GesundheitsID. This system will replace CardLink, in line with evolving strategies for contactless use of electronic health cards.
Olaf Heinrich, CEO of Redcare Pharmacy, assured a seamless transition to this PoPP-based solution. Redcare Pharmacy aims to maintain uninterrupted, secure services for patient e-prescription management. The new system ensures the continued support of digital prescriptions without requiring a PIN.
