RBI Reports 25% Increase in Semi-Annual Profit Excluding Russia

Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) announced a 25% increase in its consolidated profit for the first half of 2026, excluding operations in Russia. The profit reached EUR 708 million, driven by a 7% year-on-year rise in main revenues to EUR 3,255 million. Customer loans saw a 6% increment, totaling EUR 107 billion as of mid-2026.

The CET1 capital ratio remains strong at 15.5% excluding Russia. RBI reported a provisioning ratio of 4 basis points for the second quarter, resulting in 20 basis points for the year-to-date. Net interest income rose to EUR 2,187 million, while net fee and commission income reached EUR 1,068 million.

RBI continues to restrain its business in Russia, maintaining existing restrictions. The bank aims for a consolidated return on equity of at least 13% over the medium term, excluding Russian activities and certain costs in Poland.
