QUANTRO Therapeutics Receives Austrian Research Grant for AI Drug Discovery

QUANTRO Therapeutics GmbH has secured a research grant from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) to advance its AI-powered drug discovery platform, ASCEND. The 12-month, non-dilutive grant will assist in developing this AI-driven medicinal chemistry platform designed for discovering transcription factor drugs.

ASCEND integrates proprietary time-resolved transcriptomic data with molecular modeling and AI/ML tools to enhance hit generation and optimization. This grant will support QUANTRO's drug discovery efforts, focusing on historically challenging transcription factors.

CEO Michael Bauer emphasized the grant's importance, highlighting the potential reduction in costs and development timelines by up to 50%. The platform's scalability extends beyond oncology, aiming at various therapeutic areas. Additionally, ASCEND will primarily rely on local infrastructure, bolstering Austria's technological landscape.
