Electronic invoicing: 93% of businesses still on the path to compliance
With six months to go before the September 2026 deadline, only 7% of French companies are fully prepared to adopt electronic invoicing, according to the OpinionWay Observatory for Quadient. Despite significant progress, full compliance remains rare. Although 90% of companies are aware of the reform, and 86% express confidence in meeting the deadline, only 27% have contracted with an Approved Platform.
Despite growing interest in solutions like Quadient's Serensia, current practices remain hybrid. Only 19% of companies use compliant formats such as UBL, CII, or Factur-X. The reform is seen as useful by 77% of companies, although 71% consider it burdensome.
Size and resources influence the speed of compliance, with 66% of companies having committed to at least one of the necessary steps. However, external obstacles such as non-compliance from business partners persist. The priority is to coordinate efforts to avoid cascading delays.
