Prospect Ridge Confirms Copper-Gold Discovery at Camelot Project
Prospect Ridge Resources Corp. announced the discovery of a copper-gold porphyry system at their Camelot project in British Columbia's Cariboo Mining District. The project, 100% owned by the company, lies near Imperial Metals' Mount Polley mine. Results from their 2025 drill program revealed significant findings, with 10 drill holes covering 2,034 meters.
Drill hole CAM25-009, a highlight of the program, returned assays of 0.07 g/t Au and 0.08% Cu over 156.6 meters. This discovery aligns with the alkalic porphyry model, associated with mineralized potassic alteration. Notably, gold grades correlate with copper, suggesting gold as a significant by-product.
The project illustrates potential for a polyphase porphyry cluster. Prospect Ridge aims to focus on areas with high chargeability for future drilling. Core samples from CAM25-009 will be on display at PDAC 2026 in Toronto.
