ProCredit Shows Solid Growth and Transformation in Q1 2025
ProCredit Holding AG reported strong financial results for the first quarter of 2025. The group's loan portfolio expanded by EUR 174 million, marking a 2.5% growth. This upturn was primarily driven by micro and small enterprises as well as private clients in South Eastern and Eastern Europe. Despite strategic growth investments, the cost-income ratio slightly increased to 70.8%.
The company's net income for Q1 totaled EUR 25.2 million, resulting in a return on equity of 9.5%. Notably, ProCredit proposed a dividend of EUR 0.59 per share for the 2024 fiscal year, aligning with their dividend policy. Recently, ProCredit was also included in the German SDAX index.
While operating income remained stable, net interest income declined to EUR 85 million due to lower policy rates. On a positive note, fee and commission income rose by EUR 1.5 million, driven by foreign exchange and transaction activities.
The stability of the group's CET1 ratio at 13.1%, along with a low share of defaulted loans at 2.2%, underscores its robust financial health. ProCredit continues to emphasize growth within its strategic markets, assisted by IT investments.
