Porsche Restructures Executive Board: Car IT Integrated into R&D
Porsche AG has announced a strategic restructuring of its Executive Board, reducing its divisions from eight to seven. The Car IT division will be suspended and its functions integrated into the Research & Development (R&D) division starting July 1, 2026. Board Member Sajjad Khan will transition to a software partnership role, continuing to offer his expertise.
An ongoing challenge for Porsche has been adapting to market changes under Dr. Michael Leiters' leadership. Dr. Wolfgang Porsche expressed gratitude for Khan's contributions and emphasized the importance of evolving structures.
Under Khan, Porsche enhanced connectivity and infotainment across its models, introducing the Porsche Digital Interaction design with the Cayenne electric. The approach will extend to other models, including those for the Chinese market, developed in Shanghai.
