Polaris Renewable Energy Renews Share Buyback Program
Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. has announced the renewal of its normal course issuer bid (NCIB). The Toronto Stock Exchange has accepted the company's plan to repurchase up to 2,021,205 common shares, representing about 10% of its public float. The buyback will span from August 27, 2026, to August 26, 2027. Initially, the board has approved the repurchase of up to 176,872 shares.
As of mid-August 2026, Polaris had 20.9 million shares outstanding. The NCIB will allow a maximum daily purchase of 10,972 shares, constituting a quarter of the average daily trading volume on the TSX.
Under the current NCIB, Polaris repurchased 134,050 shares at an average price of $12.04. Purchases depend on market conditions and will be conducted through the TSX and other Canadian trading systems. An automatic share purchase plan is in place to facilitate transactions during blackout periods.
