KTM AG Clarifies Legal Compliance of Enduro Models Amid Media Allegations
KTM AG has responded to recent media allegations claiming its enduro models are illegally marketed. The company asserts that all its motorcycles adhere strictly to European regulations. The allegations stem from a misunderstanding about the nature of enduro bikes, which are crafted to serve both as sports machines and road-legal vehicles upon delivery.
This dual capability is necessary for participation in official competitions and aligns with industry norms set by the International Motorcycling Federation. KTM emphasizes that no competitive advantage is gained through this practice, which also applies to their Husqvarna and GASGAS brands. All models are delivered in a road-legal state.
KTM clarifies that enduro models make up 3% of its global sales and assures that emissions from these bikes are negligible, with limited annual use in competitions.
