Photonis Defense Secures $352.6 Million U.S. Army Contract

Photonis Defense, a U.S. subsidiary of Exosens, has secured a firm-fixed-price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command. The contract, valued at up to $352.6 million, focuses on the development, production, and testing of the Binocular Night Observation Device (BiNOD) program, with a projected completion by 2033.

This award signifies a pivotal milestone in Exosens’ strategy to expand in the U.S. night vision market, bolstered by its industrial capabilities. According to Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens, this reflects the Group's commitment to support the U.S. Army through domestic operations. The company plans to leverage its Sturbridge, Massachusetts facility for this endeavor.

Photonis Defense emerged victorious against five other competitors, confirming its superior program capabilities and strategic investment in U.S. operations. This strategic development is designed to meet U.S. Army requirements while boosting the firm's growth in the U.S. defense market.
