Partners Group Secures $1 Billion Credit Mandate in Asia
Partners Group, a leading firm in global private markets, has finalized a $1 billion private credit mandate with a major institutional investor in Asia. This new mandate includes a discretionary tranche managed by Partners Group along with co-investment capital. The open-ended evergreen structure supports long-term exposure to the asset class for the client across Asia, offering flexibility and specific deployment requirements. The focus will be on senior and junior direct lending opportunities in Asia-Pacific, building a diversified, high-quality credit portfolio.
Over the past year, Partners Group has secured more than five mandates in Asia, including a EUR 800 million contract with a sovereign wealth fund. The firm continues to design bespoke solutions for institutional investors across Greater China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea. Kevin Lu, Chairman of Asia, highlighted the growing trend of institutional investors in Asia seeking private markets exposure.
Andrew Bellis, Global Head of Private Credit, expressed satisfaction with the mandate, emphasizing the dynamic region's significance and the diversification benefits the concentrated economies provide.
