OSCPS Motion Sensing Inc. Introduces the MK2Z-3 at Silicon Valley Space Week
Montreal-based OSCPS Motion Sensing Inc., known as OSCP, revealed the MK2Z-3, a new photonic inertial measurement unit (IMU), at Silicon Valley Space Week. This innovative unit integrates photonic gyroscopes on one, two, or all three axes within a compact, sub-one-kilogram enclosure, aiming for a gyro bias stability of 0.01 degrees per hour or better.
The MK2Z-3 is an advancement from OSCP's previous prototypes, offering compatibility with RS-422 or CAN-FD interfaces for seamless integration. Designed for navigation in challenging environments, it targets small satellites, landers, and other platforms where traditional, larger systems are impractical.
OSCP plans to release samples in 2027, further enhancing their product line comprising the MK2 family. This development underscores OSCP's commitment to providing high-precision navigation solutions.
