Ørsted's Q1 2025 Performance Highlighted by Offshore Capacity Milestone

Ørsted A/S, a leading renewable energy firm, has reported strong operational earnings for Q1 2025, achieving over 10 GW of installed offshore wind capacity. Despite challenges in the supply chain and regulatory landscapes, Ørsted remains focused on its strategic priorities. The company's EBITDA for the first quarter reached DKK 8.9 billion, a significant increase from DKK 7.5 billion last year.

The company continues to execute its farm-down program and has recently commissioned the Gode Wind 3 offshore wind farm in Germany. However, Ørsted has chosen to discontinue the Hornsea 4 project due to escalating costs. The firm also expanded its executive team, adding experienced industry leaders Amanda Dasch and Godson Njoku.

Ørsted maintains its full-year EBITDA guidance of DKK 25-28 billion and its gross investment guidance of DKK 50-54 billion. Profit for the period increased to DKK 4.9 billion, showcasing a return on capital employed of 4.6%.
