Orogen Royalties Sells Slaughterhouse Project to Seabridge Gold
Orogen Royalties Inc. has entered into an agreement to sell its Slaughterhouse Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold project in Wyoming to a subsidiary of Seabridge Gold Inc. Under the Agreement, Seabridge will acquire full interest in the project for an initial payment of $300,000 and milestone payments up to $2.55 million. Orogen will retain a 2.5% net smelter return royalty.
The Slaughterhouse project spans a twelve-kilometer mineralized trend, drawing parallels to significant deposits in the Gawler Craton in Australia. These regions share hematite-dominated mineral systems. Seabridge's acquisition grants it access to a district-scale opportunity, with Orogen benefiting from exposure to future discoveries.
This transaction, still subject to customary closing conditions, highlights the strategic movement within the mineral exploration sector as companies capitalize on regional exploration potential.
