Loïs Openda Joins Olympique Lyonnais on Loan

Olympique Lyonnais has secured Belgian striker Loïs Openda on a season-long loan from Juventus FC. The agreement includes a €3.5 million fee. Openda, born in February 2000, began his career in Belgium, playing for Standard de Liège and Club Brugge, where he debuted professionally in the 2018/19 season.

After 53 appearances and a league title with Club Brugge, Openda moved on loan to Vitesse Arnhem, scoring 37 goals in two seasons. In 2022, he joined RC Lens, excelling further and earning a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season as the team finished runners-up.

Following a successful stint at RB Leipzig, Openda joined Juventus FC in 2025 before making his move to Lyon. With 33 caps for Belgium, he aims to boost Lyon's UEFA Champions League ambitions as they prepare for a crucial match against Sparta Prague.
