Ainsley Maitland-Niles Transfers to Everton
Olympique Lyonnais has announced the transfer of Ainsley Maitland-Niles to Everton for a fee of €3.5 million. Maitland-Niles joined OL on a free transfer in 2023, after multiple seasons in the Premier League. The English defender quickly became a key player in Lyon's first-team, appreciated for his versatility and experience.
During his time at OL, Maitland-Niles participated in 119 matches, scoring six goals and providing 16 assists. He proved to be an important squad member and a beloved figure in the dressing room. At 29, he is set to make a return to the Premier League, where he has spent most of his career.
Olympique Lyonnais expressed gratitude for his dedication and professionalism during his three-year tenure and extended best wishes for his future success at Everton.
