OHB Space UK Celebrates Growth and New Contract in European Space Sector

OHB Space UK, a subsidiary of the space and technology group OHB, marks its first anniversary with significant achievements. Since its establishment in Bristol in 2025, the company has become integral to OHB's international expansion, planning to increase its workforce from 14 to over 100 skilled engineers within five years.

At the new Aztec West site, one of the UK's largest cleanroom facilities is under development, aimed at integrating and testing satellites. A major highlight is OHB Space UK's involvement in ESA's EnVision mission, focusing on assembling and testing a spacecraft to explore Venus, as part of a project worth approximately €24 million.

UK Space Minister Liz Lloyd emphasized the importance of OHB Space UK's role in this mission for the UK space sector's growth. The anniversary event saw enthusiastic support from industry leaders, highlighting Bristol's growing tech cluster.
