New Standards Established with Successful Completion of Eu-BEST Project

On October 22, 2026, the Eu-BEST project reached a significant milestone with the completion of a full-scale test bench at OHB Digital Connect in Mainz. This project, initiated on November 1, 2023, was funded with €4.96 million under the EU's Horizon Europe program. It was finalized after a review by key representatives from European space agencies and project partners.

With increasing European launch vehicle programs and satellite constellations, efficient test facilities have become crucial. Eu-BEST developed a flexible and mobile test bench to enhance the competitive edge of Europe's space sector. OHB Digital Connect played a vital role by implementing mechanical structures and a new real-time thrust measurement system for precise data analysis.
