Oeneo's revenue declines in a contracting market
The Oeneo Group recorded an 8.7% decrease in revenue over nine months, at constant exchange rates, reflecting a recession in the wine and spirits market. Revenue for the period reached €201.7 million. The Corking Division saw its revenue decline by 4.4%, while the Aging Division experienced a significant drop of 19.1%.
The third quarter was marked by a 10.3% decline at constant exchange rates, primarily due to poor harvests and a global slowdown in consumption. The Corking and Aging sectors were affected differently, with the former showing greater resilience and a more limited decline.
Oeneo maintains its profitability by focusing on innovation and cost control, despite overall declining activity, and expects a similar trend for the fourth quarter.
