NVision Introduces European Hub at Cambridge for Quantum-Enhanced MRI
NVision Imaging Technologies has inaugurated its first European research center at the University of Cambridge. This initiative enhances the clinical translation of POLARIS™, NVision’s quantum-enhanced metabolic imaging system for MRI. The effort, located at the Department of Radiology, focuses on research in oncology, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases.
The POLARIS platform significantly amplifies MRI signals through hyperpolarization, offering real-time visualization of cell metabolism. This innovation can potentially transform diagnostics, allowing a faster assessment of disease progress and therapy efficacy.
Key projects involve addressing liver cancer and multiple sclerosis. The team at Cambridge, led by Professor Ferdia Gallagher and Joshua Kaggie, aims to leverage POLARIS to discern early metabolic changes as indicators of diseases, with the ultimate goal of clinical application breakthroughs.
